Song Moo-sang, CEO of OTS Co., Ltd., who was selected as the "Functional Korean of the Month" in November, is an expert in the field of CCTV information and communication using CCTV and manufacturing of disaster and safety products.

CEO Song studied information and communication at an industrial high school, majored in electronic computation (currently computer engineering), and after accidentally watching closed-circuit television (CCTV) video devices from Japan, he discovered the value of CCTV and worked hard to acquire information and communication technology. 

CEO Song, who founded OTS Co., Ltd. in the early 1990s, when demand for CCTV installation exploded, developed CCTV Auto-lift* with the idea that the safety of technicians who manage CCTV camera

s installed at high places is paramount. 

*  CCTV Auto-lift: Products that up & down CCTV camera for achieving safe and economical maintenance on the ground.

Auto-lift is currently installed at KEPCO's substations, Korea Water Resources Corporation's internal facilities, highways and railways nationwide. In 2015, it was selected as an excellent procurement product by the Public Procurement Service.

CEO Song, who is working hard to develop technologies that securing the safety of CCTV camera maintenance workers, is also preparing to enter overseas markets by developing Auto-lifts enable various angles with multiple cameras and overseas patents with existing CCTV auto-lifts.

CEO Song said, "It's a big prize in itself to be here after working hard so far," adding, "We want to play a big role in promoting the excellence of our small and medium-sized companies to the world with our own technology and brand."
