CCTV that serves as a watchman and safety guard in blind spots in every corner of alleys around the world! Intelligence and advanced technology are combined to evolve day by day. No matter what anyone says, CCTV is a triump of civilization that is being used in various fields from modern life to crime prevention, traffic management, and defense.
However, due to the nature of the watchdog role, there is a disadvantage that human access is weak once installed. In other words, there are risks for management and operation. Safety management is emerging as a big problem these days.
Today, when Park Nam-gu's story is the 12th issue, we invite OTS CEO Song Moo-sang, who is working hard to develop CCTV intelligence technology in combination with IoT, to listen behind stories of CCTV that are familiar to us.
Mr. Song is a 25-year veteran of this market. He has devoted everything to technology development, manufacturing, and construction related to CCTV. He is competing for survival in the gap between large domestic companies and Japan's technological prowess and Chinese low-cost offense.
He introduces himself as a person who has excellent observation of things and a tendency to read the flow of the world. In addition, he believes that in the future, all businesses are moving from secondary industries centered on construction and manufacturing to fourth industries where IT and new technologies converge with each other to create new values.
His talents changed direction by bringing one big turning point to the maintenance issue, which was an Achilles' heel in the CCTV market.
While CCTV is responsible for the safety of the nation and peoples in blind spots or dangerous areas, there were many restrictions on their role and function due to locational vulnerabilities. In other words, there are no problems with CCTV performance and function due to recent technological advances, but foreign substances or various forms of functional inhibition factors occur during it's service and for this reason a lot of manpower and equipment are put into the CCTV camera maintenance work whic installed at high place.
One point of view of things has transformed a simple idea into a device suitable for patents and purposes. Of the 12 patents held by OTS so far, three came from this new device called "Auto-lift." It is a testament to its competitiveness.
Auto-lift was developed for efficient maintenance and rapid repair of CCTV cameras installed at high places. With this device safely perform dangerous high place repair and cleaning work of the CCTV camera on the ground instead of using boom lift or tower wagon. It is an auxiliary device that can improve the purpose of CCTV camera installation to the next level.
Of course, anyone can create such a simple idea, he says. However, CEO Song explains that models born by repeated tests and trial and error, that are difficult to explain here, cannot easily copied in terms of performance and stability.
CEO Song's theory is that quality and stability are more important than anything else as it guarantees life and safety. In fact, there is a case in which he replaced all old models with new models at no additional cost to his parent company with a customer-first mindset.
Song Moo-sang, CEO of OTS, said, "We are currently applying for overseas patents, and we will soon knock on the door of overseas markets after verifying our recognition and stability in the domestic market."
He said, "I'm dreaming of a small step that will someday be a huge leap for the second act. "We will definitely enter Asian markets such as Vietnam and Indonesia where fiercely competing prices, as well as the U.S. and Japan within a few years," he said.
